Being a fashionista does not mean emptying your pockets. I have a good mix of high and low items in my closet because we are what ultimately make the outfit pop.

Hello Loves,

It’s almost Friday and I’m so ready for the weekend! This week has been really busy for me. Between contracting and running my own business… my calendar is all over the place. Now just a side note, being “booked and busy” was definitely on my list of goals as 2024 was approaching and I’m happy that this is happening in a good way. In addition to all the craziness going on in my schedule, there are quite a few moments I enjoy. Some of them have been mentioned in my previous posts, but getting dressed definitely takes the cake :)  I know I mentioned in my previous post how cooking can allow you to be free and express how you feel… well fashion will do this too! Your style… meaning not just the clothes/ accessories you wear but how you wear them.. definitely makes a statement. In fact, it amplifies who you are in that moment and the message you are wanting the world to receive.

In the past I have been known to wear some eclectic items with bold colors and all the frills, but lately I’ve been getting into my business casual era. Now don’t get me wrong, I still have my pieces that have beads and feathers on them, but a blazer with some baggy jeans will also do it for me. If you are going out to dinner, you can slip on a pair of sling back heels and if you are just running errands … you can slip on a pair of cute sneakers… and just like that you have a versatile ensemble.

Being able to express yourself through fashion and style is vital. It is one of the few things that we have to support not only our bodies, but what’s really going on inside of them… even down to the colors we choose to wear.

When I get dressed, I like to think of it as me telling a story about myself. The clothes definitely provide the base, but the secret is in the accessories…Yes, I’m talking about the shoes… purses… jewelry… etc…, but the accessories that really give a look…  is not in your closet at all. I’m talking about your smile, posture and confidence.

All of this combined is what fashion and style means to me. I know I may have readers that feel they don’t care about what they wear, but whether you realize it or not.. we always make a subconscious decision on what message we want to convey when we get dressed and walk out the door.

Annndddd let me add… Being a fashionista does not mean emptying your pockets. I have a good mix of high and low items in my closet because we are what ultimately makes the outfit pop.

Here’s a number I put together from my closet a while back. Hopefully it will spark some ideas for your next look… but if there is one thing I want you take away from this post… it is… There is always a message within your style

mine is Goal Getter, Confident, Beautiful, and wonderfully made by the Most High

What message does your style convey?

With Love,

Beezsa
