Cooking gives you a break and reminds you of all the things that are right in front of you… all the things you worked hard for… the people you love… and how blessed you are!

Hey loves! Hope you are thriving and keeping your jams in rotation on a daily basis! Today’s post is all about EATING GOOD! I’m talking about the meals that make your taste buds smile and give you all the feels! The end of last year I told myself that for the entire year of 2024 that I would not eat any fast food. Now this does not include restaurants for those who are wondering because I love a good restaurant that gives an aesthetic …and that’s literally half the reason we get dressed these days haha.
Back to eating good, I love to cook when I have the time and since I’ve made a “pact” with myself, I’ve made time to start cooking and let me tell you… It feels good to be in the kitchen!
Now I’m not a chef or anything, but I love diving into recipes or creating my own thing. Sometimes my meals are elaborate and sometimes they are simple… but the flavor is there!
Lately, I’ve been obsessed with ravioli. Now some of you may be in shock and ask why is that even in my list of items that I like to eat…but hear me out. Trader Joe’s has had me in a chokehold for literally 6 months. I find all the items I didn’t even know I needed in my life lol. It’s like everything they have is good… even the precooked items and this brings me to the ravioli. They have all different types, but my favorite is the ravioli filled with butternut squash. Hmmmmm hmmmmm hmmmm.
Delicious! I add it to a tomato based sauce with peppers and anything else I like … then plate it with a side salad topped with balsamic vinaigrette . Now all of this definitely needs a glass of wine to seal the deal and that’s exactly what I drink with it.
The process of creating meals is fun! It allows you to be free, express how you are feeling in the moment and to connect with your roots. It’s a perfect time to dance to your favorite songs and create a vibe that just sometimes gives you the boost you didn’t know you needed.
Now I love to host, but when I’m not hosting, I’m cooking for my husband , who also likes to cook and we have a great time. We laugh... taste the food… and just enjoying each other’s company.

It builds community, keeps you present, and gives taste to how you feel… and I’m feeling goooddddd!
So what dish do you like to cook ?
P.S. if you are a stranger to the kitchen… no worries! There is no time like the present…so head on over to the fridge and try it out tonight.
With Love , Beezsa
