Sis, You Smell Good...

I also like to think the perfume we wear gives a snapshot of who we are... Literally us in a bottle…

How are y’all feeling? I hope y’all are feeling great and if not, I pray that everything works out for your good! Now this past Sunday was a day to honor the Glue of the Family, the Voice of Reason, and more… It was Mother’s Day! I thoroughly enjoyed my time with my mom this weekend and  it doesn’t take much to experience joy when I’m with her… she’s just that Girl! 

Of course, I showered her with all my love and some gifts, but I also got distracted… especially when we walked into Ulta. I don’t know about you, but as soon as you walk into Ulta… you immediately want to know what is smelling so good and to make it even more complicated…when you get to the fragrance section … it’s soooo many good perfumes/colognes on display… so of course you have to smell them all to see what scent is calling your name.

And that is what we did. Long story short we landed on Dolce & Gabanna Devotion, which smells like money. It has a combination of citrus and vanilla .. just perfection in a bottle. Now notice I said “we landed” because I know it was her day and all, but I had to get it too.. plus I love good packaging and the bottle was giving. 

Normally we both like perfumes with a spice, but Devotion is a perfect scent for the summer months… or if you’re like me.. whenever you want to put it on haha.

I say all this to ask you… What perfumes/colognes are you wearing to express where you are in life? Just like the items I mentioned in my previous post, perfumes help us to express ourselves as well! They emphasize our aura and the way we want the world to view us. To some a perfume can become a signature… meaning the world will know you have arrived before they even see you because you are known for a certain scent. I also like to think the perfume we wear gives a snapshot of who we are…Literally us in a bottle… We have fragrances that scream boss , playful, minimal/simple, natural, and more…  I am still and always will be  basking in my self love era ( not by myself era - there is a difference) and I’m thriving in all things that make me … me… so I enjoy perfumes that give a bit of grown, a presence that commands attention, memorable and ultimately smells amazing…
